Jackie, I love how you carefully neglected to mention the AK-47. I wasn't really talking about the Mauser (I realize it was a fantastic weapon for it's time), but you and I both know the Tokorev was a cheap Colt knock-off. It's not as goot as the M1911. Period. Both accuracy, range, and stopping power are inferior to the American gun.
Big argument about the AK; it's effective only because it was built wrong. A loose action caused the bullets to tumble through the air, rendering them pretty inaccurate but incredibly devastating (again, for it's time), as the bullets would absolutely tear flesh apart. The only 'good' things about the AK, though, are that it's cheap, and it can fire pretty much everywhere. It kinda sucks in comparison to it's competitors, though that's only because the design is... well... ancient.
