Tell your physics buddy something for me. He's wrong.
I really don't care much about this whole "who wins" thing, but his argument behind it, while it holds credibility, isn't entirely correct. Just give him a friendly little reminder from me that none of these "uberbeams" are real. Therefore, physics doesn't have to apply to them, people give them their own special rules. If physics could explain why things like SF's energy things and DBZ just in general made any logical sense in the world, he'd be right. However, it's all made up, and therefore, physics wouldn't come into play.
