Dante's Abyss Sign-Ups and Pre-Show Information

The lookout was in pristine condition. A light breeze was the only audible sound drifting across the tiled ground. The palm trees gently rustled, adding to the sounds in the air. A lone figure stood atop one of the golden roofs. He gazed out across the clouds, taking in the fresh air and relaxing. He drifted down underneath the roof to a patio area, still isolated from the rest of the building.

A curious sound reached his sensitive ears; it was a steady humming sound that was out of place amongst the breeze and the trees. The rustling grass was a familiar sound, but this seemed to cut through all the rest. It was new, and it was getting louder. Never one to jump to alarm, he stood his ground, listening intently as the sound approached him.

Little by little, a small robot came flying up to the lookout. It landed at his feet, its little metallic legs making a clanking sound as they touched down on the shaded stone. It appeared to scan him up and down.

"I.D. Confirmed." the little robot chirped. It then proceeded to split down the middle and open up. A video screen with little speakers popped out and began to play.

The light from the screen did little to illuminate the landing in the middle of the day but it slowly began to play its message.

"Greetings! It's back! The one! The only!..." The annoying announcer trailed off. The old warrior watched intently as images of battle, triumphant and defeated fighters danced across the screen.

"Come sign up today...this year it'll be better than ever...you know it and love it...it's time for....!!!!"

The announcer and the lone warrior spoke in unison

"Dante's Abyss!!!"

The screen the robot had folded out had now returned to it's locked and sealed position. With a little bow, the robot took out a sheet of paper. "Sign up?" The warrior took a pen which popped out of the robot's arm, and filled in his information.

The little robot took a look at the name, scanned it into memory and began floating in the air, eye level with the old fighter.

"Thank you! See you at the tournament Kami!"

With that he flew off across the clouds, following the little robot. They reached a sign up station in a nearby city, and before he knew it the old Namekian was on a tele tube and then he was in a Lobby.
