OOC: Sorry for the delay. Had to make sure I was fully ready before I began. Also I apologise for the length, I had a lot to cover ^^;
Super Buu strode through the jade palace, feeling very pleased with himself. A dark blue cape was fastened at his neck with a loose knot, and it swept about as the moon?s currents passed through the building. He had done what he had come to do, and his long-held mission had finally been completed. But, at the back of his mind, he felt restless. A foreboding feeling seemed to be following the majin around nowadays, as if someone was always watching him. Normally he would have brushed such a feeling aside, not letting such trivial feelings put a dent in his ego; but this time was different. Almost subconsciously a hand slipped to his forehead, but nothing was there. When he realised what he was doing he drew his hand away quickly.
?What?s wrong with me?? he muttered, shaking his head. ?He can?t take control of me, I?m not ? evil.?
?Booger! Come quick!?
The gelatinous being turned to see his young saiyan attendant running over. The look in her eyes told Buu she was about to start talking, and she wasn?t going to stop for a while. ?What?s going on, Auri??
?Like, you?re not going to believe this! Dante?s Abyss! HERE! NOW!?
The majin raised an eyebrow. ?What are you talking about??
?Dante?s Abyss!? repeated the girl, as if the name held any relevance to her friend?s mind. After a half-second pause, she continued; ?the ultimate survival game? It?s a contest for strong fighters - the last one standing wins!?
Buu suddenly perked up. ?Sounds awesome. Where? When? How??
?This way,? said Aurilani, grabbing the dangling hang of her companion and half-walking, half-running down the corridor. ?Lord Vine let them set up a booth in the entrance hall so his students could enter for some real-life training. Your friend Seventy or whatever has already signed up!?
The pink monster roared in outrage. ?Seventeen went on ahead without me? That cowardly human probably thinks he?s got a better chance of winning without me competing!? A grin of anticipation spread across his face. ?This is my chance! I?ll prove my strength, once and for all!?
Finally they reached the entrance hallway, where a crowd had already gathered. Many were hovering around the signup desk, apparently debating whether or not to join. A number of servants had abandoned their duties to watch the goings-on. Without a moment?s hesitation, Buu elbowed and shoved his way to the front.
?Name, please,? asked the woman behind the counter, not looking as if she wanted to hang around.
?Super Buu,? stated the monster, leaning against the desk eagerly.
?Super Buu? Very well.? The attendant produced a small camera and motioned him to come to the side of the desk. ?I?m going to have to take some pictures for the contest, so hold still.?
Not missing an opportunity to show off, the pink monster tossed his headtail back and swept around dramatically, allowing his purple-blue cape to swirl around his muscular figure. Ch-k. He pulled the cape across himself, attempting to catch his mysterious side. Ch-k. Finally he began a series of thrusts and squats, accompanied by his best attempts at manly grunts. Ch-k.
?Very good,? said the woman, in a voice that made Super Buu wonder if she was patronising him or not. ?Finally, we?ll need a clip of your fighting ability. For the fans,? she explained.
?I have fans!?? the puttylike monster gasped. ?Alright, let?s see ?? he crossed his arms, leaning his chin upon a palm to think. Suddenly, he snapped his fingers. ?I?ve got it!?
Grabbing his head-tendril, he gave a hard yank, and with a loud sloosh - POP! his entire head came off. ?This one?s a favourite with the kids,? explained the disembodied head, hanging by the tail from Buu?s clenched hand. ?And if that?s not enough ?? it began to glow a bright white, the sound of a boiling kettle emanating from its pores. Then, without warning, the body dropped the head and kicked it upwards into the ceiling like a football.
Crash!
BOOM!
Squirming, a new head reappeared on Buu?s body, looking a little sheepish. A large chunk of jade marble had fallen from the ceiling, subsequently hitting the floor and cracking that too. ?Well ? shit, I think I overdid it.?
To his surprise, the attendant frowned. ?You know, during Dante?s Abyss you won?t be able to do that. All regenerative skills are banned from the contest. I think you?ll do, though. Go on through.?
?Wait, what?? the pink monster?s eyes widened. ?How can you stop me from regenerating??
?You?ll find out all the details if you go through,? said the woman. ?Are you entering or not? Be quick, please, there are more people waiting.?
?Shit ?? Buu scratched his face. ?Alright, I guess I?ll do it.?
As he headed for the teletube he glanced back to see Aurilani, hopping up and down to try and see past the crowd behind. ?Good luck, Buu!? she shouted in cupped hands, before waving frantically to him.
Flashing his friend the thumbs up sign, Buu grinned broadly and stepped into the tube.
