Fuck, The ninja thought to him self, limping towards the light house. The rocks that surrounded him upon the beach shore made this difficult due to his injured leg. Blood continued to pour from the three wounds upon his back, scorched skin surrounded the holes, smoke still rising from the rings. Cautiously he began to move, north this time. By the light of the moon he could see trees off in the distance; finally he could rest with out being detected. He quickened his pace as best he could to get away from both the Metal creature and the lighthouse.
Murasaki sighed, reaching his right hand to his back. He touched it slightly; however the wounds were still too fresh to try and feel. He looked to his left, then his right, a small bush lay upon the ground, the only one for what seemed miles. He slowly walked over to it; his limp was getting worse by the second. He knelt over examining the leaf structure of the plant and smiled. With out hesitation he reached his arm out grabbing at the leaves and stock piling them with in his hand. He stashed some within his pants pockets but the rest he shoved within his mouth.
As he chewed he reached for the bottom of his black vest and pulled it up and over his head. The loose skin that hung around the edge of his wounds peeled off with the shirt, causing even more agonizing pain to shot through the ninja?s body. He fell forward, his right arm extending to ensure his face didn?t collide with the ground. That?s all he needed, a broken nose and three gapping shot wounds to the back.
The chewing within his mouth began to slow, he reached up with his left hand and took out a small portion of the now goop. Lightly he placed it upon on of the ki bullet holes, massaging it as he rubbed it on. He repeated this action with the other two, spreading an equal amount over all three. He rose to his feet once more, sighing as he began to walk once more. Hopefully the natural bandages would stop the bleeding enough to some how make the pain subside, however with the limp he had also acquired Murasaki didn?t seem to be a contender any longer.
He slowly made it towards the closest tree, it was a fern that rose nearly thirty feet into the air.
This seems like a perfect place to rest for the remainder of the night. He started to climb the branches, slowly, he didn?t want his wounds to already start bleeding out again. He made it to a relatively high branch in a matter of minutes and decided to call it quits.
This looks like a good place, He said to himself, leaning back up against the trunk. We can rest here until day break, then, we need to try and find some food. That whore no doubt took my bag, my food and water rations. I left my map back there as well as the compass?lets face it, I?m pretty much fucked. He looked around, trying to salvage this debacle before he was actually killed. He didn?t care to much if he died, he just didn?t really want to be the first one to leave the island. Slowly he calmed down, enough to make himself realize he could survive all he had to do was play it smart from now on.
