Day One: Early Morning

[Raditzu]

A simultaneous feeling of annoyance and hesitant appreciation filled Raditzu as he was dropped unceremoniously onto the mossy floor of the island. That Kyle... or whatever his name was... sure knew how to mix things up. Why be sitting comfortably on your bed when you could be tossed, unsuspecting, into a tournament where one attempts to dismember another in the most entertaining fashion possible? The long-haired saiyan was slowly pushing himself up from the ground when a large sack dropped onto his head with a dull clank. Whoever was in charge of teleporting stuff had some pretty serious aim. Some of the contents spilt from the bag and rolled about the dirt. Rad simply rolled his eyes and went to collect his possessions. This was actually the first time the saiyan had to see what-all he was given in this glorified battle royal.

"Lesee... bread..." Rad ripped a bite from one of the two loaves before shoving them aside to what else he was given. "Some bottles of water." With a flick of his thumb the long-haired saiyan tore the top from one bottle and downed half its contents. He wasn't worried about running out of it... they were on an island. "A piece of paper... a compass." Rad tossed the folded up map over his shoulder, along with the compass, for something much more interesting had caught his eye. "What do we have here...?"

Diving into the bag, Rad took a firm grip on the weapon he had been given and yanked it from his bag with a grin. A feeling of gleeful anticiaption, not unlike christmas morning, washed over the warrior as he suryeved the device. It was fairly gun-shaped, but it certainly looked as though it was designed to fulfil a very specific purpose. He pointed what he hoped was the barrell at a nearby tree and gave the trigger a couple of squeezes. The two fired projectiles tore away chunks of the tree as they glanced off of it. Rad could only imagine how painful it would be to actually be hit by something like this. His grin still glued to his face, Rad tossed the weapon back into his bag and looked around at his feet.

In all his excitement with his new toy, Rad had managed to trample the innocent piece of folded paper that lay beneath his boot. With a deft swipe of his hand, the warrior snatched up the paper and examined it. Only then did he notice that it was, in fact, something that had been folded up. Moreover, it was something that would probably prove very useful. With the map fully unfolded, Rad plopped down, once again, into a sitting position on the mossy floor and grabbed a nearby stick. With a snap of his fingers, a spark of ki flashed against the stick, causing it to burst into flames. Very carefully, Rad handed the stick to his tail, which coiled around the flaming branch and held it above the map. The saiyan thrust an accusing finger at the starting location that had been marked off for him before wandering aimlessly across the paper. He didn't have any real plan, since he knew so little about the island and his competition, but he had to start somewhere. After taking another cursoery glance at the paper, Rad folded it up and stuffed it into his pocket instead of back into the bag.

"Now lets see..." Rad swiped the compass from the ground as he stood up. "How about..." the saiyan spun in several circles before coming to a stop and looking down at his compass again, "... that way."

The compass was tossed back into Rad's bag and the bag itself was slung over his shoulder. Not wanting to attract unwanted attention, Rad tossed the burning branch of his shoulder (carefully avoiding his luscious locks, mind you) without bothering to put it out. With a powerful leap, Rad beagn moving towards his randomly chosen location. Though he quickly found that flying would not be an option, he was not overly put off. A nice jog would be good for him.
