Krillin acted cheery, but he wasn't. Someone he hardly knew had just tried to kill him. That was usually enough to put a damper on anyone's day. At the very least, however, he knew two things. One, that his shield was pretty fucking awesome, and two, that he could trust no one. Well, no one except for...
Twenty? It's me, Krillin. I think you're around here. Can't seem to sense you, but, well, yeah.
No response.
Well, uh...if you get this message, send me something. We need to meet up.
Krillin hastily severed the connection, as if fearful someone might be able to listen in, or worse, home onto his location. He needed to find shelter, and he needed to find it quick. For all of his defensive capabilities, the game would turn into a simple match of hide-and-go-seek if he couldn't find a good sleeping spot. Eventually, even the adrenaline would succumb to sleep.
If nothing else, he knew he needed to move. If they all had been put in separate spots, someone had caught on to his position. He had been lucky. Krillin doubted that the weapons stopped at simple melee pieces. There might be guns or something, and for all of his spunk, there wasn't much Krillin could do against some of those.
Krillin checked around himself once, twice, three times. No one in sight. That hardly meant anything, but it was more reassuring than catching a silhouette against the sun. He quickly scanned his map for hiding places. A few caught his eye, including the residential section and the lighthouse, but he hastily decided against those. They would, no doubt, be congregating places for either alliances, or stronger warriors looking to eradicate the simple-minded. No, safety seemed to be found in the wilderness.
And in the wilderness, Krillin would stay.
