Bra blinked in disbelief as a teeming, lush jungle paradise formed all around her. Birds chirped, creatures scampered to and fro on the jungle floor, and a pair of monkeys called to each other from high in the treetops, as if caught in a heated argument.
The princess? bag chose that moment to fall from the heavens and slam into her neck, planting her into the soft earth before bouncing harmlessly away. Shaking her head, the regal young woman climbed to her feet and retrieved the vicious bag, quickly withdrawing and activating her scouter before affixing it to her ear, flipping the visor in place in front of her eye.
Bra began to pull several obscure items from her knapsack, before withdrawing a set of what appeared to be assembly instructions. Arching one of her eyebrows, the princess quickly snapped and screwed the several pieces together, and soon, had a working something-or-other in her hands.
Throwing one of the bag?s straps over her left shoulder, the girl hoisted her newly formed item, grinning at the formidable weight in her hands. A quick glance at the nameplate removed any confusion as to what the object was, and a devilish smirk played across Bra?s elegant features.
Kicking off the ground, the cyan haired princess rocketed high into the air, spreading her arms, and then suddenly, catastrophically, everything went awry.
?The fuck?!? she exclaimed as she fell from the sky, collapsing - hard - onto her back with a pained wheeze in protest. ?Can?t... fly? Damn! Should?ve paid more attention to those stupid rules!?
Bra climbed to her feet, collected her belongings, and began to walk through the thick underbrush of the seemingly vast jungle.
Civilization didn?t appear to have any impact on this particular island, as everything appeared to have been untouched by mankind. It was, when Bra took the time to appreciate the scenery, idyllic.
The girl would have smiled had she not been forced to trudge through mud, pushing leaves and branches away from her face as she walked. Marching from place to place, the empress knew, would be far more taxing on both body and mind than simply flying over it all. It would also make some of her more devastating attacks much more dangerous to herself if and when she decided to unleash them.
The hybrid scoffed; perhaps vaporizing the entire island would be a good thing. The tournament would receive horrible ratings, lose copious amounts of money, and potentially be forced to close it?s doors forever. It would be a favorable alternative than allowing such a horrible blood-sport to continue unchecked.
Deciding to make things faster for herself, Bra kicked off the ground, gracefully landing within one of the towering trees, before leaping forward onto the next, and the next, and so on, jumping and flipping from branch to branch, and covering far more ground than she could ever hope to by simply wandering through the thick underbrush below.
The princess vaulted high into the air, and suddenly gasped softly, realizing that her target tree had no accessible branches for her to touch down on. Deciding to improvise, Bra planted her feet on the trunk of the tree and propelled herself as hard as she could, rocketing horizontally to another tree. A front-flip allowed her to slam her feet into - and skid across - a thick branch before hopping off and continuing her routine, leaving an enormous scar on the branch where bark should have been.
?Huh?? the halfling muttered under her breath, catching sight of a pair of numbers scrolling upon her scouter?s lens. Catching a branch overhead and hanging from it, the Bra watched as the numbers continued to scroll. ?Strong.? she observed.
The empress hauled herself up into the foliage above and continued toward the duo, slower this time, making every effort to utilize the element of stealth to her advantage. She didn?t have far to creep along the canopy high above the floor, and her scouter indicated that she was directly on top of her prey.
Bra frowned, knowing they probably knew she was nearby thanks to their own scouters, and that she would have to be extraordinarily careful to avoid giving away her exact location. Quietly, she descended halfway down her tree and slunk out onto an outstretched branch, hoping to get a clear view of whoever was beneath her.
The sight caused her to jump, which pushed her just past the brink of her equilibrium, and she fell from her perch. Cursing loudly, Bra quickly gained control of her descent and crashed into the forest floor, one hand and one knee planted in the dirt, the other hand holding her weapon above her head, protecting it from the fall.
?Raditzu!? she exclaimed, pulling herself to her feet and dusting herself off. Only then did she notice someone vaguely familiar to her. Desperately, she searched for a name, and finally found something she hoped would fit. ?...Goku?? she demanded. ?What?re you doing in that get-up??
?Actually...? the Goku look-alike began, scratching his arm as he spoke. The long haired warrior was quick to interject at the slightest of pauses.
?This? pops.? Raditzu declared, hooking his thumb to Bardock.
?Pops?? Bra inquired, a look of utter confusion occupying her visage. The older saiyan merely continued his introduction, ignoring the interruption.
?You can call me Bardock,? he explained. ?I?m Goku?s - and Raditzu?s - father, hence the resemblance.?
