The island was as dark as velvet. She couched low to the ground, not only because of the wrenching in her gut, but to stay out of sight. Now things were beginning to unfold, and she was thrown into the event along with 43 other blood thirsty warriors. She rummaged quietly through her pack. Her rations were a joke, but she didn?t need to eat as much as most creatures. She would make it last as long as she needed it to. The collar that had been places upon her neck felt constricting. She soon found out that it choked off her ki sense, and her ability to fly. Go figure, another item that made mice out of men.
She slid her weapon out of the bad and gave it a once over. The android laughed quietly, very quietly. The item would be useful. There was also a scouter, although much cheaper than the one she had, her LENS was no longer functional. She slid the device on and activated it, it was good enough. Nothing interesting was left, aside from a map. She did give it a look, but she wasn?t completely sure where she was. Using the compass she managed to narrow it down, and decided on the best route to take.
Her weapon had been in pieces, so she spent a few minuets putting it together. It would not fit in the pack anymore, but sit was light enough to carry. Finally a familiar sigh left her lips. What had she got herself into? She pulled herself to her feet and took a gaze a round the area. Trees and grass were all that she could see. Shadows and darkness were ever present. The sun would peak over the horizon in a matter of hours, but for now, the moon was the only light in the sky. She scoffed, there was no doubt she?d run into some person or another, she could feel it in her bones.
The crickets accompanied her footsteps. She treaded lightly, keeping her gaze left and right. Her weapon was gripped tightly in one hand, while the pack was secure on her back. She would not get ambushed, no way in hell. Her mind was as sharp as a tack, and no one would get the better of her. She hoped so, anyway. She did hear sounds off in the twilight, but shrugged them off and kept on her course. By the compass she was headed eastward, that was as good a direction as any.
