?What do you think is gonna happen, Red?? The blue feline addressed him.
?I?m not quite sure,? He answered simply. ?They?ll be back?I?m sure of it. But, I don?t know how this is going to affect our group dynamics.?
Puar nodded as an uncomfortable silence fell over the area. With a small squeak, he leapt onto the seated android?s left shoulder, avoiding his wounded right. The sky blue feline settled himself on the large shoulder, resting his head on his paws and staring off in the direction of where the Majin had gone off to.
Sixteen dried his shoulder off as best he could with his undershirt and slid his jacket back over the injured area. The wound had stopped bleeding for the most part, though it still throbbed horribly. He dipped his hand back into the stream, rinsing any blood that was left from his fingers and trying to ignore the pain. Once again, all was silent. Michael sighed, wondering where the two had gone off to and why they weren?t back yet. Shrugging, he turned to his bag, moving his crossbow out of the way to dig a piece of bread from his bag, ripping it in half and tossing it into his mouth.
The uncomfortable silence wore on for a long while, no one moving around much. Puar had left his perch a little while ago to splash around in the shallows, laughing in his usual high-pitched tone as he leapt about. The shorter majin still sat where he had when his larger counterpart had left, blowing smoke rings between puffs of his cancer stick. Where the hell he was getting all those cigarettes, Sixteen was unsure. Seventeen sat in silence a few yards away, back against a tree, deep in thought. The elderly man, Jackie Chun, had left to wonder about. The mohawked android himself was lying on the damp grass, head rested on his bag, half asleep.
Presently, the feline returned from his merry-making, leaping onto the hulking android?s broad chest. ?They back yet?? He inquired.
?Not yet...? Sixteen replied groggily. He sat up, Puar hopping onto the grass and cleaning himself. ?I hope they get here soon,? He said, brushing the dust from his leathers. ?I?m getting bored.?
He turned his head as he heard some rustling in the distance, praying that it wasn't another enemy. He hadn't a doubt that the group could take a singular warrior easily, though if it was a group he wasn't so sure. The throbbing in his shoulder again reminded him of what could happen if he was careless. If not for his metalic skeleton, the bolt may have passed clean through. This isn't happening again...
