Day One: Evening

The telltale sound of crickets could be heard as the night crept upon them. What would happen as the sun fell? Perhaps people would sleep. There was no doubt that some would prey within the darkness. This was Dante?s Abyss, no place or time was ever safe. She would have to stay sharp from here on out, especially after that little war that had fallen upon them. She shook her head absentmindedly. It was no surprise that her brother was here. Sometimes she wondered just how their relationship was. Would he kill her without a thought? Could she? She was lost in the ramifications of their could-be encounter as Raditzu gripped her closer and Bardock did his usual grunt and stride away act.

She did eat on the dried meat that the elder Saiya-Jin had so kindly given them. It was not exactly the best food around, but it beat dry bread. For the moment things did feel peaceful, almost. It could have very well been the calm before a storm. Speaking of which, what if there was a storm? That wouldn?t be very fun. She frowned and flicked a beetle off her thigh, it thought it was clever, but it was not.

She managed to get her water bottle and take a drink; she had begun to feel thirsty. She could feel that Raditzu was using her as more of a leaning post than anything at this point. It was kind of sad to see how powerful these collars were, in their power they made each fighter weak. Easily without it she could live for days without needing rest, but if she even powered up once with her upgrades she?d be in her companions shoes. At least he?d be able to carry her, at this rate she was going to fall. Fed up with being support for him she did the right thing, to her, and gripped his arm. Being that he had no idea what was to come, she managed to toss him to the ground with no problem. The grass was lush enough here so it was as fine a place as any to settle down. He knew it, and she did too, if he didn?t sleep he?d be useless.

Despite any arguments he hoped to start and win, she sidled up to him and procured a tight place against his side. ?So we were talking, and interrupted, so as you said earlier, where were we?? she may have intimidated him, but she wasn?t sure. All she wanted was a little time. Little did he know, he thought only his time had felt like a year? Well, in truth, spending all that time up in space felt just as long to her; alone, and with nothing to entertain her. It was surprising she had waited so long to find him. ?So when Bra, as you said, aged?? she trailed off.

?No.? she didn?t need to finish, he knew her too well.

?I mean, even I wouldn?t be able to-

?No.? he cut her off. The android couldn?t help but smirk.

?But I?m sure you wanted-

?Woman stop digging the hole for me!? he purposely held her tighter, as tight as he was able, as if to say ?Stop or I?ll hurt you.? But he knew that was impossible. They were as much a team as they were a couple. Any who knew them knew together they were a threat. Sometimes things were easier that way, but getting down to the bottom of it, they were complicated. Speaking of complicated.

?After this, dead or not, I?m coming after you.? The fact that she was a very confusing woman, her words could have been taken in a bad way. Then again, she was a female, and he knew her too well, she hoped. Regardless of that, to put emphases on her statement, she made sure to run her hand down his armored chest to get her point across. ?You owe me.? Her words whispered in his ears like the calm wind around them, she did hope she drove him crazy.
