Day One: Evening

Silence stretched over the Control Room. The production team had each accumulated years of experience in blood sports and violence.

Yet, the violence and determination touched a cord in each of them. Some, horror at the carnage and devastation the two sides had wrought upon each other. Others, felt a sense of pride at watching fighters overcome impossible odds and accomplish improbable feats. One or two smiled knowing they were watching some of the best television ever filmed as it happened. One, sighed as he spiraled into his bad habit of gambling, a habit that had already cost him more then just money.

?That?s ten bucks, Dave.?

?Fifty that he is dead by tomorrow?? The director shot back, knowing he didn?t even have the ten to spare.

?I?ll take that??




Yamu?s entire body felt fatigued. His muscles screamed in agony with each step, but he had to try and get Hasky through this?he had already lost Gohan to this sadistic game?he had to keep her safe.

He did not trust this group he was with?but he had no choice. They were his only Allies now?as much as he hated to admit it?he need this band of warriors

Yamu?s muscles sang in relief when he finally laid his burden down at the campsite. The hulking human sat the beautiful woman down near the fire to catch its warmth but far enough away that she could rest in the dark. As he propped her head under his pack she regained consciousness.

?Y?Yamu?? she asked the dark figure over her. Yamu had done what first aid he could do, wrapping the wound and stopped the bleeding. She would still need medical attention soon, but she had stabilized.

?Yeah, darlin??? He pulled a bottle of water out and gently forced sips of the warm liquid down her throat.

?I?I did good, right??

?You were amazing!? He wanted to pass out himself, but he knew he needed to re-assure his responsibility. ?I saw you kill that little cat-thing?hell I didn?t even get a kill in that fight??

?Very proud, girl?now rest you need it. We?ll get you some help in the morning??

He slowly walked back to the group, his legs felt like jelly?he just wanted to collapse in the grass but more important things needed to be handled.

One of them had gone on sentry duty, but the other had circled the fire. ?If you want them, my fists are yours in this fight. I ask you for one thing?help my friend?there as to be some kind of medical thing on this damn island. If not?we?ll go on our way?but now I need?? he almost passed out into the fire except for his friend he did not recognize grabbed his arm just in time to have him pass out in the soft tufts of grass.

A short woman with red rimmed glasses and short white hair got up from her opulent red chair and approached the screen her minion presented. ?Excellent?call in a clean up squad for our friend?he is no longer needed.? She ordered his death as nonchalantly as ordering dinner. ?So?Yamu?this is our candidate?I like his look?very nice?very terrifying??
