Day Two: Early Morning
#10
"Holy Shit!" Tapion yelped and jumped backwards, extending his arm out to the side to block his brother from advancing forward. The younger lifted his head up from the satchel that he was digging around in and looked at the thing lying in front of them. It looked like a overgrown dead racoon, its corpse being mauled by a army of red ants. The beast had been torn open at the side, long ago, for it's body was amidst decay and it was pretty far along before the ants came to speed it up a bit.

Dead bodies. Yummy. Minoshia jumped backwards himself, it had been a while since that voice had made a prescense, and the Konat had been enjoying the relax from worrying about constant killing. Instead of arguing back, he simply ignored it, instead of fueling it further. A drilling sensation materialized on his forehead, digging a painful sensation deep into his mind. The prince fell to one knee, grasping his forward. No...

His eyes burned a deep red as he rose again to his feet, the exterior portion of his iris quickly deepening into a black. His brother stayed behind him, not knowing what to do. He charged forward, grabbing the animal cadaver into the air and hurling it skyward, launching a needle of energy after it. The bolt peirced it's stomach and tore it to peices, the carnage and the blood shed raining down in the trees around the area.

Minoshia continued, steaming off into the woods, looking for another beast to slay. The dormant build up of his lust had caused an irrational explosion of anger. Luckily, they weren't near any other contestants, especially the more powerful ones, he had at least managed to pick a time to unleash this 'inner beast' where it wouldn't get them in trouble.

Tapion took after him, bolting into the woods. "Minoshia!" He screamed his brother's name, escaping off into the trees. His path was easy to follow, broken trees, burnt paths, dead animals. Birds had fallen to the ground fried, wild hogs and peaceful deer alike. There must have been a dozen dead animals fallen along the path, and it was easy to find Minoshia where he had stopped.

A source of energy was picked up on the older Konat's scouter, and before he could recognize it as Minoshia's, he saw his brother. Curled up in a ball under a large bush, a tear running out of his black eye, his body trembling with fear. Under the mask of hatred and rage, there lied a little scared boy, taking out all his shortfalls and miscomings on the lives of others. A depressed, neglected boy who witnessed the slaughter of his family and the isolation from his brother at a age no older then a elementary school student. He was just a fragile child, stuck in a body much too old and wise for the development of his mind, which was no longer under any rational control. Tapion ran and and grasped his brother, holding on to him.
