Day Two: Early Morning

[Reijin]

The night was long, dreamless, and sleepless. Reijin finally stirred from his sleeping position on a rock, and glanced over at the two others sleeping nearby. Metal Koola was leaning against a tree while Vejita was actually sleeping in a tree on a branch. The Saiyan's cool eyes surveyed the land until his eyes finally locked onto the green form of his Saibaman chasing after a butterfly. "Don't you ever sleep?" he grumbled, knowing the creature probably had a rough time as did he.

His gloved hands pushed himself to his feet and he quickly whiped his hands against the others, knocking off a clump of dirt. After a moment of thinking, he decided that he needed to train this creature to assist them better in combat. Perhaps if the creature was chasing squirrels or...

Like some mystical trigger, Reijin once again found himself wanting to cough on a burst of magical scentless smoke around him. He reached a paw up to wipe his nose before... His eyes widened. Sniffing quickly at the scents around him, he spun around in a circle, seeing his tail behind him. He'd done it again, accidently changing into a squirrel. His first thought was to panic, but he knew that he was safe. He just need to find some hole to stuff his nuts into.

A tall dark shadow suddenly loomed over his form and his nose told him before his eyes even registered... It was Saiba. Immediately he took off, skittering like a lightning bolt with with the green creature on his tracks right behind him. Reijin knew what Saiba wanted... The creature was after his nuts! He would allow noone that right!

As if tracking something over sonar, he immediately found a small cluster of nuts and grabbed two of them into his mouth, darting off as soon as the shadow of the creature appeared. Saiba leapt, coming down directly where Reijin was, but he'd already darted off and Saiba struck dirt. Growling as he stood, his hand sparked a burst of energy and he lodged it at Reijin's retreating form.

Every hair on his squirrel body stood on end as he could simply hear the energy drone as it came closer. Panicking, he looked left then right. He decisively darted to the right the moment a clump of dirt was launched into the air from the shot. He immediately ran up the side of a tree and looked over the side of the branch. Saiba was below, sniffing the area beneath the tree hoping to track Reijin.

The squirrel back slowly down the branch, until he suddenly bumped into another creature that grunted. He spun around, and saw a Saiyan sleeping on the branch, snoring away. His footpadding softened each step as he slowly climbed onto the Saiyan's leg, walking up its body so as not to disturb him. He would find a place to stuff his nuts for safety, somewhere that Saiba would never find them.

He heard growling beneath the tree branch and knew that Saiba had found him. He didn't care. He'd allow another Ice Age to happen before anyone could take his nuts. climbing straight up the Saiyan's chest, he slowly approached the open snoring mouth. A slight droplet of drool was hanging over the edge, and the growls from the creatures mouth slowly filled the air. Reijin heard Saiba begin to claw his way up the side of the tree as well, and his blood began to rush.

Hurridly, he took his pair of nuts into both hands and looked around. Finally, he dropped both of his nuts into Vejita's mouth. The Saiyan immediately awoke, coughing wildly as he spun around in the branch before realizing that he was high above the ground. He choked, reaching into his mouth to remove the unwelcome busted nut from his mouth, hoping to open a passage for breath from deep within his throat.

Reijin immediately scurried down the end of the branch and leapt into the air, landing agily onto another branch to a different tree. Vejita sat up, finally grabbing at the nuts in his mouth long enough to begin cursing loudly, and turned to see a large green form slam into his face in midair, launching him straight off of the branch and into the air. He flailed wildly, attempting to fly, and finally landed on Metal Koola below him. Saiba was still plastered wildly to his face, looking around in the air with glee of having caught something.

Reijin immediately scurried down the tree and by simply recognizing the two of them, he immediately burst into a cloud of smoke once more, changing back into the raven haired man that he'd always been. He walked slowly towards the chaotic trio and scratched his head. "Just what the hell are you two doing? Or three?"
