Day Two: Afternoon

[Super Buu]

Buu walked on, his stride unrelenting. A deep scowl was spread across his features, making obvious his discontent.

?Slow down, Supes!?

The golem of puttalin rounded on the person that had called out his name, and opened his mouth even before he had registered that it was Violet. ?Why don?t you speed up?? he retorted, crossing his arms as if he were a child being refused candy.

?Not everyone walks as fast as you,? the woman hissed. ?There are kids here, one of which is injured, not to mention Seventeen who has a shotgun wound, if you?d forgotten!?

Buu spat on the ground violently. ?I?m not getting killed because we waited thirty minutes for someone else to catch up!? He jabbed a finger at himself, continuing. ?I didn?t join this contest to play babysitter for sick and injured people!?

The whole group was paying attention now. Seventeen, who was being propped up by Violet, looked too pained to care - and in any case, he blamed himself for his injuries. Kid Buu wore a weary look of exasperation, as if he had come to expect this kind of drama from his older counterpart. Minoshia, and Tapion - the new additions to the group - had mainly kept themselves to themselves for the journey thus far, and now watched with detached interest to see how this scenario would play out.

?Are you saying you would value your own life over your alliance?!? asked Violet, her eyebrows arching downwards.

?All I?m saying is that we haven?t been in a single fight all day, and I?m bored,? explained Super Buu wistfully, as if his position was one to be pitied.

?That?s a good thing,? snarled the purple-haired human. ?We don?t want to run in any more super-powered warriors.?

?But if we find them first, we?ll have an advantage!? The hulking majin, as always, looked convinced of his own strategy. ?And that?s a good thing, right??

?Fine, then. If that?s what you want, you on ahead by yourself.? Violet composed herself, taking a deep breath. ?But at this point in the game, everyone still alive is in a group. If you walk off now, you?ll just be ambushed by some bigger, more powerful band of fighters and you?ll be killed the same way the others were.? And then her voice broke. ?And I don?t think I could handle losing you as well.?

?Eh ?? Buu looked severely uncomfortable, as if he?d just walked into a bathroom stall to find two men kissing. He scratched his head apologetically and backed out of that stall. ?Don?t worry about it ? let?s just keep going.? He turned off in the direction they were going and started walking again - albeit this time, much slower.
