Day Four: Early Morning

The early morning hours were finally upon them. With them had come the rain. Vision became limited, and water was running down Kami's face. He reached over to his sleeve, where a tattered piece of fabric from the intense days of fighting hung. With a flick of his wrist he tore it off into a long strip. The rain drops dotten the fabric as he held it out horizontally before him. Without missing a beat he raised the blue fabric to his forehead an wrapped it around his head, tying a tight knot in the back. The tails of his new blue bandana flickered in the wind, the rain now no longer dripped into his eyes.

The mood was somber, the announcements of the final twleve fighters were heard by everyone, but nobody bothered to make a wise comment. The old Namek, his long bandana fluttering behind him continued on walking.

This is it... The whole group was all thinking the same thing. Despite their differences they found a common bond in the desire for victory. Whether it be personal of public they all had something that drove them to advance this far in such a hellish tournament.

The rain was being unforgivingly unleashed from the sky. The visibility worsened. All that could be heard was the sound of feet moving and rain drops pelting everything around them. Kami looked to his team, Trunks, Reijin, Vegeta and 13. They were all walking along in silence. They were all intensely focused on their surroundings and trying to keep themselves in a mental zone of prepairedness.

The air was cool and refreshing, but thick with tension and an intense concentration Kami hadn't sensed in ages. He thrived on moments like these, nothing was better than a huge goal coming down to the wire. This is where champions are made or broken, this is where the men and the boys go their seperate ways. It was moments like these that true warriors were born.
