While you would be right... that's a purpose-built race car. There's a difference between being forced to add a wing in order to create downforce and putting a wing on a front wheel drive Honda Civic because "it's cool". *Cough*

The 'rake' looking thing, while hideous, helps control air flow and eliminate turbulence. Things like this are the difference between life and death at upwards of 200 mph.

Looks have to be sacrificed if you want to make a DBR even remotely competitive.
