Goku has an ability like Instant Transmission--people say it requires a huge amount of focus. Though Goku did it with ease against Metal Cooler. Even if somehow Superman was faster than Goku, Superman would be initially heavily caught off guard by the ability and once Goku got the slip on him, Superman would find himself on the defensive quickly.

No he wouldn't be. Did you not read what I said? Superman left Lois, averted a crisis in anothe galaxy, and returned before Lois realized what had happened. That's called reflexes. By the time Goku got his bearings again after teleporting, Superman would have already punched him twice.

In regards to strength--I'd have to say they are even. All we've ever seen is Superman eventually 'win' all of his battles. Goku has actually lost some of his. Thing about it is, it gives us the impression that Superpower is some unholy fighter with insane strength. When in reality, look at him when he goes to life someone. Say a bus, or a giant nuclear reactor. You see him strain initially. Goku has no such problems--as Goku is much stronger than Piccolo and we all saw Piccolo MEDITATE and pick up the Pyramids and cause an void-like sand whirlpool.

Anyone who wants to suggest that Goku is physically stronger than Superman has no idea what they're talking about.

Beyond that you must look at their tactics. When as Superman EVER had any serious tactical moves? He adapts to his foe, other than that, hes winging it. He goes straight forward and may do a flank or surprise move occasionally. He often relies on throwing heavy objects and way to often relies on his strength to beat an oppennet.

If you're Superman, you don't need tactics, beyond "Hey! By blowing up this piece of shit, I can beat the bad guy!"

Goku not even in Super Sayia-Jin has a strength advantage over Superman, if need be Goku could advance and use Kaio-Ken for a short period to severely damage the Man of Steel.

Goku in SSJ4 wouldn't be able to SEE Superman.

Regardless, in the end. Superman may not die, but he wouldn't be walking for a long time when Goku was done.
