Lucky. When I missed the bus, my parents made me walk to school. Let's point out that the school was a good 30 minute drive or so down open road. And they insisted on me bringing home ALL of my books every night for reasons beyond me, so that would be with a full bag of crap. Needless to say, after about the second time, I tended to find a way to catch it.
The part that pissed me off was that our driver saw us walking out the door, but if we were not literally right there on what should have been beacons, he'd just keep going. If we were ten feet from those spots, he'd keep going. Everyone would say "You got busleft".
I tended to find out where the bus had to go down a long stretch of offroad and then come back, meaning when he came back, I was waiting in someone else's area. Having run there with my full bag and my saxophone.
