The difference between a roleplayer and a place holder
#74
That's why my system has a 'Quality' multiplier. Basically you get a base reward depending on the amount of writing, then that's multiplied by blablabla depending on how good the grader/s deem it to be. The end result is your reward. In other words, it's better to focus on quality as opposed to pumping out shit. It's actually much more complicated than that, but that's pretty much the easiest way to sum it up.

It's not perfect, but when it comes to subjective judging, no system is. All you can do is offer some consistency, and this does it much better IMO. Both Rad and Krillin have seen the system on DBA, and Burter's seen it on FoF, along with the other FoF staff members. Mostly a positive response, though I know Burt felt it was unfair towards those who couldn't post often (I personally didn't get that, since it was actually less rewarding than some of the current systems, and it was more about just making the different roleplaying mediums equal in terms of rewards, bar sagas which have 1.5x multipliers to encourage lots of members to join). But yeah.

I just dislike seeing people rush through multiple quests (as you said like what happened with spars) doing the minimum possible for big rewards, and then having spars (which these days are pointless compared to quests, so it's mainly people doing it for the fun of writing) which are written with great quality, sometimes lasting over a week, which can only get, at maximum, 3TP 150 Zeni. As I said in Idol, if I could change one thing about Chubbs, that'd be it.
