A few hours had passed since the Outcasts had been teleported to Sanguine Castle, and now Seventeen stood in front of a long table on the third floor of the illustrious structure. Before him, the android had gathered up all the persons he sought to initially fulfill some type of leadership position within the ranks of his army. In clockwise order from the machine-hybrid?s position at the helm of the table were Super Buu, Kakarot, Koola, Mr. Cell Junior, Corey, Egg, Wart, Gargantum, and Jezebel.
?I know I spoke to a great deal of you before I gathered you all into this room, so the purpose of this meeting was to merely give you all final orders and so forth,? Seventeen paused to fix his ruffled trench coat before continuing with the last minute debriefing. ?Just bear in mind that while this may be a game, I know that none of you honestly want to lose. I share the same mindset and will do everything in my power to lead us to victory; however, I need you to all to bear in mind that I will require your utmost cooperation if we intend to defeat the opposing armies.?
?Any idea when the game will start?? Corey inquired. The android turned his head and smiled at the man and cleared his throat before supplying him with an answer.
?A couple of hours from now,? Seventeen replied, glancing over his shoulder and out of the nearby window. ?At that time, all of you will be dismissed from this structure and sent out to complete your orders. Upon completion of your tasks, all of you are to report to me in some regard and await further instructions. Are there any more questions?? Turning his head back around to face the seated leaders, Seventeen arched his brow and allowed for a few moments of silence to pass before continuing. ?Dismissed.?
As the soldiers filed out of the War Room, the cyborg turned around and began to make his way down the stairs. After all, he figured it?d be less flooded since the entirety of his cabinet would probably be cramming onto the elevator. Descending the stairs, Seventeen checked to ensure that he had brought all of his effects with him.
Upon verification that he had not failed to outfit himself properly, the android pushed open the door to the ground level and stepped out into the courtyard. From his location, the cybernetic warrior could spot the sun peaking up over the horizon. It was nearly dawn, and in a matter of hours, the festivities were going to begin. Frankly, the android was enthused that the time for action was nearly upon him.
Because as much as Seventeen enjoyed getting to know people and holding meetings and debriefings, he was man of action. The cyborg had a slight craving to test the limitations of Metal Binding on the enemies. After all, it would be better to try the technique in a real scenario, instead of sitting in a chair and shifting around the molecules in a spoon.
Nevertheless, the onyx-haired warrior was going to need to do something to pass the time, or he was going to grow insane before the competition even had a chance to begin. Walking over to a series of targets erected for the sake of testing how apt a soldier was with a firearm, Seventeen raised his hand and focused his mind on the metallic stand that held the paper and hay target in place.
The bulky target fell away as the stand it was held up with began to break down into a liquid solution. A few nearby troops, awed by the display of the potent technique, crowded around and watched as their leader manipulated the source of metal. Smiling as he worked, Seventeen dropped his hand and chuckled at the tiny, vaguely humanoid robot he had crafted.
Despite the ambiguity and lack of craftsmanship, the fact that the android could actually manipulate metal garnered a generous applause from the small group of warriors who had gathered. Disinclined to let the attention slip away from him, Seventeen reached out and tapped into the nearby target stands. Squinting as he contemplated what to concoct, the machine-hybrid felt a bead of sweat formulate on his forehead.
Even with the strain, the cybernetic warrior managed to craft a diminutive army of toy soldiers from the available sources of metal he had at his disposal. At the helm of the columns of soldiers, a man was perched victoriously upon a tank. The applause that followed brought another smile to the android?s visage.
?That?s us, boys,? he smirked, whipping the bead of sweat from his forehead as he walked through the group. Once he made it to the front gate of the castle, the machine-hybrid leaned against the steel bars and decided to relax. After all, this was probably going to be the last time he got to seriously rest and relax before the hell that was Dante?s Abyss ravaged the land.
