Simultaneously, troops all seemed to let out a sigh as they escaped the dark clutches of Briarwood Forest. The twisting branches seemed to grab at the troops with every advancing step, the darkness was overwhelming. The prince was one of the few who wasn't sighing as they exited the forest, the darkness comforted him, nurtured his intense emotions. He followed the commanding officers without question as they led back into the open plains and began to make camp for the night. Sidetracked by his own wandering thought, the dark child quickly found himself sitting alone as numerous other campfires and small conversations broke out around him.

He'd been wandering around the well of memories his mind held confined in its darkest trenches. Of all the memories he had of war and slaughter, the memories that focused around love swarmed to him when he was alone. Back home, one his planet that bloomed with beautiful nature and wildlife. Tapion and the younger Minoshia ran through the fields, fighting as brothers should and enjoying every ounce of emotion their senses could feed them. Warm dinners and a loving family, in one word, happiness.

Amidst these joyous thoughts he snapped back into reality as a joke climaxed nearby, causing a raucous of laughter to disrupt his peace. Knees curled into his chest he cradled himself as a tear slowly ran down his cheek. Why had it all been snatched from him? Why Him?

A burning sensation shot up through his spine, tingling the back of his throat in a menacingly painful manner. Immediately Minoshia found himself on his feet, trying to walk off the hatred the tried to escape. Living only caused more pain, and he longed to sit in the hollowed fire burrows of hell, where thoughts of happiness never caused him torment.

As he walked aimlessly, his anger boiled and blinded his sense of direction. He found himself walking for the sake of walking and not really going anywhere fast. One step forward, two steps back seemed to tell the tale. "You alright??" A voice rose softly from behind him. His blue cape twirled and wrapped around his lower body as he spun quickly to face the being that spoke to him. His eyes glistened a fiery red, confusion, anger and depression leaking from his pores as he stared into the eyes of the speaker.
