As they left the allied village the konat watched anxiously as one half of the dual unit departed in a separate direction. The prince?s sense of direction wasn?t a talent he chose to brag about, it was one of the few things that completely confused him. He followed the line of marching, without attempting to try and decipher the direction in which they were heading. The only direction Minoshia was good at following was the trail of an enemy, and as they continued to walk, the scent began to grow stronger in his nostrils. The real war was on the brink of exploding; it was inevitable and unstoppable. The only question that remained was who would be the first victim of the slaughtering machine, also known as the Dante Forces.
The soldiers walked in uniform motion, their feet crushing the fertile soil of the planet simultaneously, A well-oiled killing machine. The commanding officer, as well as the lieutenant himself waited the moment to throw the destructive power of their machine into high gear. The Dark Child had fallen back and walked beside the troops, watching his feet as he trudged along on the crisp dirt. His brain was so in tuned to battle, so ready to unleash its rage that he was getting frequently sidetracked. His thoughts kept bouncing back to memories of tearing men into pieces, incinerating towns, executing opponents who begged for mercy. With so much blood lust circulating around the planet, it was incredibly difficult to restrain himself from sprinting forward and diving headfirst into battle.
He quickened his pace as he attempted to focus on the marching at hand. The gold haired commanding officer stood tall over the rest of the crowd, of course Minoshia recognized him from the days of his glory with the Cold Industries Army. The being that spoke with him earlier also resembled a Changeling. It was almost like a reunion for the Konat. He needed something to take his mind of his memories, and his need to kill something, perhaps speaking with one of these individuals would aid him in this task.
As he quickened his pace, he found he gained similar looks from the soldiers that he got from the old woman at the sign up booth before he even joined this tournament. It wasn?t the blood red glimmer in his eyes this time because his head lingered towards the ground. Perhaps it was because he was only a child, or perhaps they had heard of his prior achievements. The prince tried to ignore the stares, but it found it harder and harder. He quickened his pace again and quickly found himself walking besides the commanding officer Broli.
