[S][D] Syntech and Dante clash first

The mercenary bursted through the ranks, into the open area. His clothes were soaked in multiple spots and torn in others. He collapsed to a knee as his lungs forced him to catch his breath. He had killed his fair share of men this night, and thats what he had intended to do. Looking over his shoulder, he caught a glimpse of the tower he had seen built to the finish. Fate"s Tower. The mercenary saw through the slit that his Leiutanant stood there still, watching on. Watching him.

Retane stood up as he reached for the cards and wit the flip of a finger, drew a card out of the box. King of Spades, or Skulls in the manner of his deck. With a flick of the wrist he sent the card flying behind him, not watching for the target that he had hit. He looked back down at the cards once again, before resting them in their respective spot once again. Raising his hand to chest level, the mercenary palmed a simple orb. Tossing it into the air, the mercenary took off in a sprint.

A flash of bright light hit the air momentarilly blind all that saw it. The rogue bursted into his top speed, now, the sky blanketing itself with darkness as he went, making him even harder to see. The warrior ducked quickly into the mouth of the solid rock, not pausing to look back. If any followed him, they would die. He was more at home here, just like his days at Mercy.

Moving down the tunnel, the assassin sighed wondering his next step. He was now alone on the island. No allies, but plenty of enemies. Lowering the cloak the warrior smirked. No one could blame him for leaving Syntech. He was a mercenary after all, and wasn't going to loose under a boss he hadn't chose to follow under. And so, he traveled, deeper into the darkness, Rogue in the Abyss.
