Returning to the Port Town, Reijin could see that not much had changed. For the most part, the battles that they had endured had been on different ground, all a distance away, but the end result really hadn't affected these people. To be fair, he could only shrug it off as simple mindedness. These people wouldn't be affected until their use had arisen and the time for their call to arms had come forth. Until then, they would live their lives in the background, never sure what would happen until the armies came blazing to their villages.
He slowly strode through the town, his Saibaman following closely behind, as he looked at villager upon villager. By now the townspeople had seemed to grow somewhat familiar with their company, but they still didn't seem to be all that happy with them being nearby. The winds had grown cooler, and the fisherman had begun to wear thicker clothing as the cold weather was washing upon him. He somewhat wondered how they got by during the cold weather, and whether or not the fish was an all year catch, but he was still having trouble understanding the entire "random village with people on a normally empty planet" idea. The best he could think of was that these people were somehow generated in a "world creation" manner to fill the planet with life and an implanted history and set of ambitions, just to give them a purpose.
Purposes... He had been told that the girl that he'd fought during the Syntech skirmish had joined them under their flag. Akane Kimidori. Reijin cleared himself a place among the leaves under a tree before leaning back, feeling Saiba leap into his lap expectedly. Begrudgingly, he offered it support and began to stroke it behind its ear, showing it a rare moment of subconcious affection. The girl had apparently been taken prisoner for a bit before Broli had decided that she fit better with the Dante forces than to be left for dead. Reijin hadn't agreed nor disagreed. He'd noticed her lack of synergy with Syntech as well, but regardless, it was a competition and the defeated were better left dead.
He saw her in the distance walking amongst the townsfolk as she eyed them with interest. He had no idea as to what her intentions were, but as best as he could surmise, she simply wished to observe the town and was only looking to enjoy her time through the tournament with causing the least amount of mortal strikes possible. To each their own, he supposed. He leaned his head back, and as the day came about to an end, Reijin slept beneath the cover of his cloak.
