The Saiya-Jin?s eyes followed the final words of the note. ?Please bring up to two people with you, in regards to our safety. I hope you aren?t offended. ? Drac Boneham, Head of Council.? Handing the note to a subordinate, he focused on the village only yards away. With a nod, he turned to Minoshia. ?Lieutenant Minoshia, I leave you in charge of the troop. If we haven?t returned by tomorrow, or at my signal, take it by force. The men are not to leave formation until deliberation is complete. Do you understand? I need everyone at full attention in case this is a trap.?
The Konat bowed. ?Yes, sir. I will do as you wish.? And with that, the Konat had full control of the Dante regiment known as Outland. Gathering a few things, Burori pushed his way through the row of soldiers. He stopped at a familiar face, a soldier barely taller than he was. ?King Cold,? he announced, the Changeling awakening from his day dream in surprise. ?You?re coming with me.? King Cold looked around to the other soldiers, making sure that his Commander had indeed chosen him. ?C?mon now. We don?t have time to dally,? furthered the Commander.
?Yes sir!? King Cold replied excitedly. With that, the two began their travel to the village. The soldiers waited at their backs, at first merely feet away, and then as time went on, the distance greatened. Soon, the Dante force was a mere line at their backs, and the two entered the village of Listeron step by step.
It was desolate, if anything, not due to any lack of resources but rather a lack of activity. The streets lay bare, the sounds of doors locking and windows shutting reaching the ears of the two Dante warriors. The ground was composed of dirt, dry and barren, no doubt the result of a village being so close to the Unforgiving Plains. As the sun pressed down on them, Changeling and Saiya-Jin alike came to a halt before a group of men. They stood in a ?V? shape, the legs of the letter forming away from the Dante warriors and its base being a single man that stood with hands behind his back. It was eleven men total, five composing each leg of the ?V? with the central man being no doubt Drac Boneham himself. They all wore white robes, encrusted with jewels along the lining. Each was old, wrinkled, yet seemingly physically fit in an odd way compared to their age. Each council member was bald, though Drac Boneham himself possessed long, white, flowing hair and thick facial hair. To them, it was a sign of superiority. With a bow, he spoke, fracturing the silence that had thus far consumed the village. ?Commander Broli, I presume??
The Saiya-Jin nodded, bowing as well as he returned the identification. ?Drac Boneham, it?s a pleasure to have finally made it here.? He outstretched a hand, yet the Head of Council did not take it.
?I apologize for my rudeness, Commander. However, we seek to do these matters as formally as possible. Now, if you?re willing, may I direct you to the Council Chambers??
Broli nodded, attempting to hide his offense. Drac Boneham smiled, and with another bow, they began their way to their destination.
