Buu was pissed.
The last couple of days hadn?t worked out quite as he?d expected. He couldn?t believe he?d let that traitor, Koola, escape. Regaining control of the units had meant little to Buu ? he?d barely been able to look them in the eye after the event. All he?d wanted to do was help out Seventeen, and the Outcasts, and he?d fucked it all up.
?General Buu!?
He hadn?t even been paying much attention to the war. All he could think about was one thing ? Koola. How that changeling had humiliated him in front of the men by escaping. That traitorous son of a--
?Hey!?
The golem was startled from his thoughts as a warm hand clapped down on his shoulder. Buu rounded on his lieutenant, Kakarot, who was wearing a look of mild concern.
?What is it?? snapped the monster. ?Can?t you see I?m busy??
The saiyan paused. ?We hadn?t heard from you in some time. You?ve barely been out of your tent in the last couple of days ??
Buu turned back to the desk he?d been sitting at. A pen, held awkwardly between his doughy pink fingers, rapped irritably at their position on the map. ?What of it? Do you need me to oversee your every move??
Kakarot?s forehead crumpled. ?The men need instruction. They need to know you?re doing something instead of just sitting here brooding.? He paused, scratching the back of his head as a silence pervaded the tent. ?I?m not so good with the whole leadership thing.?
Super growled. Kakarot was right, and the monster knew it. He?d tried so hard to prove himself worthy of being a General, but in the end, it had only made things worse. In trying to preserve his image, he?d shattered it. Getting to his feet, Buu turned to face his saiyan companion and nodded gravely. ?I?m sorry. I?ve been too self-absorbed ? I let my personal vendettas get in the way of my leadership.? He nodded gravely. ?Tell the men to ready themselves for instruction.?
The saiyan blinked, a little taken aback by his ally?s sudden change of demeanour. But he smiled anyway before stepping outside.
Flashing his trademark fang-filled grin, Buu pushed aside the tent flaps, letting the sunlight seep in. It was time to take charge once more.
OOC: I'll try and get another up soon, but in the meantime, I needed to get this done. Real-life comparisons galore. =O
