[D] Fusion heads out
#5
?Ah, so we?ve finally arrived at the Temple of the Moon? the feeble old man had said to himself. He looked on, awestruck at the beauty of the temple. Once again Gohan had been called into duty by the leaders of Dante. He didn?t mind though, it was becoming quite boring, just sitting around the port, even though he enjoyed himself sitting and watching the vast azure ocean. Twelve days, since the start of DA: C, it seemed like it had been way more, war had a way of doing that to people.

People on the front line of any war, if you asked them; they would say that a day felt like a week, a week a month, and a month a year. It was slow time; the only thing that really compared was that of prison. That was something that the old man never wanted to experience, although he wouldn?t have a hard time surviving it, he was definitely a free spirit. The aged human was like that of a bird, something free, and something that shouldn?t be caged.

From what he had heard, battle would soon be upon them again. Thoughts of the other armies began to grow in the mind of Gohan. How were the other armies fairing? Nappa, the saiyan warrior that he had met in the lounge, was he still alive? Or was he dead. He hoped it wasn?t the latter; he had rather enjoyed the fellow, and wouldn?t want to see him die. Granted though, if it came down to the old man and the saiya-jin warrior, Gohan would try his damnedest to kill him.

The newest addition to the Fusion unit was another kid. JUST what Gohan needed, another youngin? on the battlefield. She had a similar power as the other youth of the group, and fellow captain, Pigero. Pigero who had saved him from a devastating wound during the first battle; he had earned Gohan respect, which was not an easy task. He respected him as a warrior, and such a title as ?kid? did not befit him. He was Gohan?s comrade.

The mask, which Gohan kept in his pocket, was like a key to another person, while he was on the battlefield he wore the mask, like it somehow justified what he was doing. Whilst no one actually died in the competition, it didn?t change the fact that you still had to defeat them, defeat them and every one of their moves, no matter how cheap they might seem. You still had to watch them die and fade away by your hands. The mask was slowly becoming an icon of the man, as though he could simply remove the death by his hands, simply by taking it off.

As the Dante forces went along, he did notice the new addition, Akane, a pre-teen at most. Thoughts of when he first saw Pigero flooded his mind, was Akane a good fighter? Or would she just simply prove to be a burden upon them. He had yet to figure that out, the only other relations he had with her, was back in the Syntech lounge, when he had asked for a peach. Apart from that the stout man didn?t know her from any other tom, Dick, or Harry in the world.

Akane was playing the part of a ninja, bobbing and weaving between soldiers, bushes, as though no one could see her. The small youth was clearly stalking someone, although he didn?t know who, he assumed it was Reijin, since he WAS the one who defeated her in battle after all. ?Children must play? he thought to himself, knowing the saying all too well, having heard it many a time throughout his own. Gohan laughed at himself for a moment, as if he had made some kind of funny.
