If you use grass like that, add some over the character layer, so it doesn't look flat.

Overall, I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

The character stands out too much, try to work him into the BG. I'd suggest getting rid of the grass and maybe try to make him coming through a cloud of smoke/dust/mist.

I'd either make less lightening, or get rid of it and make a more chaotic BG, like the pits of hell.
