You keep your characters. - yep
After the PCIII rewards are given, you may convert to a custom character if you wish at the normal stat penalty for switching characters. - yep
New joinees will only be able to join as Customs from here out. - yep
Depending on your roleplaying activity from this point on, you will be given rewards on your new character by applying the reward system that we'll apply then to anything that happens from now till then as well, meaning that all roleplaying now will be just as effective as it will after. - yep
Unless im overlooking something (and i very well might be) i think that covers all the bases.
Thank you so much rei for keeping a level head and at least bringing this back to the matter at hand (not saying you agree with me, but at least you took the time to understand what i was saying).
EDIT: Tapion... I don't think you know where im coming from on this matter and im not going to take the time to explain as I already have in the previous pages of this thread... repeatedly.
Ok, so now that I've basically gotten the point of your suggestion...
I'm going to throw a couple of things out there, and I want to see your solution to those points while staying true to this vision.
- People like myself and Rad have been here for years, myself since day one. We've both earned an arsenal of techniques and we both have an insane amount of items. We can level planets. There is absolutely no competition for us, and in order to even allow us to enter into an event, the stats have to be completely overlooked. This obviously is why we feel stats need something done to them... So let's say Rad and I are extremely busy until this is done and are unable to roleplay. How would we be compensated?
- I was not involved in PCIII at all. I was, however, active during that saga, albeit in a different saga. Why would someone from PCIII get to start off anew and with an advantage over me just because I chose to enter a different saga?
- Staff are all going to be busy working on the new content and may not have enough time to competitively roleplay. I personally do not care, but some staffers do feel that their character is important enough that if they had to choose to leave their character to exclusively be a staffer, or have an extreme disadvantage as 'punishment' for being a staffer, they would quit immediately and try to simply be a character. What is to reward them for their efforts to bring this into light while being unable to roleplay?
