Strategy was the key to this victory, Sixteen knew this was fact. The fact was that Monte Cristo?s walls would continue to be shelled, then eventually they would crumble. The reality was that United would not be able to hide within their gem forever, sooner or later they would have to come out. It was also fact that before Dante charged these walls, hundreds of there soldiers would be slaughtered by the artillery and fire shots.
For the first time in days, the machine commander re-entered his fortress. The inner sanctuary was scattered with craters ranging in sizes, as well as pieces of the walls and buildings. The first days pummeling had taken it?s tool on the fortress, but it still stood. Casualties were still at a minimum, as most soldiers on the inside were constantly moving in hopes of never giving off there positions, while the outer soldiers were well protected inside there massive trench.
His defensive plan was so far a success, and that was just one victory against the opposition. United soldiers still stood proud within the confines of their stronghold, keeping their hopes and dreams alive. Then there was Gokua, the co-commander, who stood as mighty as anyone atop his platform. Spouting off orders left and right, while swinging his rapier in many different variations. Sixteen could only chuckle at the sight of such an enthusiastic leader as he climbed up the platform.
?Well Gokua I?m glad to see that you?ve still got your spirit and vigor!? Sixteen laughed, with a slight smile emerging from his face. It was the first time he?d smiled since his days under Garlic Jr.
?We both know that we?ve got to stay strong in the eyes of our comrades or they will lose hope. There hope and moral will lead us to victory Sixteen, it would be wise to put that in your calculations,? the flamboyant commander replied, placing his rapier back into it?s holster.
?Those things cannot be computed, but that does not mean they aren?t a difference maker. I trust you can handle the moral Gokua, that is why Garlic wanted you at my side. We work well together, and cohesiveness will be key in this victory,? the android explained, returning to his monotone voice.
?Yeah, sure thing Sixteen,? the human fighter laughed.
The mechanically being knew exactly what Gokua was good for, and for all those reasons he was a great leader. A leader that would be irreplaceable in his ranks and for that he was grateful. He knew that he could relay a near perfect plan, and it would be executed without hesitation by his counterpart.
?You better not falter Gokua, or it will be united who falls.? The android thought, ?When will you attack Broli??
