Despite the end of the event known as Dante?s Abyss: Conquest, a multitude of screaming fans remained. In a stadium large enough to fit a large portion of a bustling city, people stared at the hulking television screens held in the middle. Upon the screen, a complete recap was occurring of the event, and even though many of the fans had witnessed the battles that had occurred, simply seeing it once was not enough.
In the darkness of one of many tunnels that led into the stadium, Broli watched, his arms folded. His showed no change in emotion, not when his own face was on the screen, and not when the recap portrayed the slaughter of dozens of soldiers. He had come this far. He and his team had won Dante?s Abyss: Conquest. Together, they had batted down any opponent that had risen to their challenge of victory.
?Great, wasn?t it?? came the voice from his side. He turned his head ever so slightly, noting the fan next to him. The fan?s eyes were glued to the screen, his lips curved in a smile. ?Did you get to see any of it?? he asked, placing his hands to his hips.
?I saw more than enough,? was the Saiya-Jin?s quiet response, almost a whisper as it escaped his lips.
The fan shook his head. ?I can?t believe what some of those guys went through. I mean, really, the psychological stress of war. I mean, sure, it was a game and all, but to them,? he raised his fingers, pointing to the screen, ?To those soldiers, it was a war for survival. Know what I mean??
Broli closed his eyes for a moment, and with a sigh, turned to leave the stadium. The fan watched quizzically, wondering if he had said something wrong. As the Saiyan walked away, he spoke over his shoulder. ?I understand more than you know.?
He was not the person he used to be. He wasn?t the Burori that had entered Dante?s Abyss. Who he was, he still wasn?t exactly sure. Even so, he knew that his journeys would not come to a close. Though he felt as if he had defied Fate, an inclination within his being spoke otherwise, as if it had been Fate?s planning all along. Overwhelmed, bloodied, and tired, Broli ignored the closing ceremonies completely.
With another page complete in what he called his own destiny, Broli left Dante?s Abyss: Conquest. He hoped to see those that he had lost again. He hoped to see his friends again. He hoped?
OOC: It was fun. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
