In think Android generally means "Mechanized Being".

Yea, but just because he's a mechanized being doesn't mean he can't have a human name.

Yeah, I realize that. I'm debating whether to give mine a name or not. I think that they can have a name, but whether or not they do, they have to have a number, which can be explained by the fact that the lab that created them wanted organization.
