Powerups

I don't have a problem with a universal stat increase. What bugs me is that, when you consider the fact that the stressful part of the ability is unlikely to be seriously enforced, Overload does better at physicals than SSJ... I just think that's all kinds of messed up. Maybe if Saiyans got something with their transformation, it would be balanced because Overload grants no extra ability either. As it currently stands, it does everything SSJ can do, only more, and better.

Like I said, if Overload is too powerful, we can make changes to it. We can make up as many theoretical situations as we want, but fine-tuning is a reactive art, not a pro-active one. The best I can do is assure you that we'll be keeping an eye on everything and making changes when we think they need to be made.

The long-term thing to keep in mind is that you all know there's an SSJ2. Super Saiyan gets better and better and we've be adding those in time. Overload won't get better. It is what it is and that's all it will be

As for how many exp points it takes to actually get, depends. How many points do you expect the average player to have? Can you ever conceive of a time down the road when player experience points and stats will be so high that the amount invested in buying these abilities will be small by comparison?

I'm genuinely not worried about people having too many XP points and not anything to do with them. If anything, people might have to spread their XP too thin. The powerups in OP represent some of the highest XP costs for learning abilities. That should be a rough indication of the rate at which we expect people to build XP. Then you through on top of that all of the different things that people will need to spend XP on in order to build their character and I think it all balances out quite nicely.
