Quests will be reworked to reward people more appropriately in accordance with the new system. For things like quests and personal RPs, rewards will probably consist mainly of zeni. Small XP rewards will most likely be thrown in, but those probably won't be too substantial.
As you said, XP will be given for posts. As such, the process of doing a quest, or posting in a saga, already rewards XP.
If more people are doing a quest at the same time, the quest XP reward will probably be increased, since it usually takes fewer posts per person to complete a quest in that kind of situation.
