Just a thought on this, but if that was put into effect, the very point of strong people not dealing with new ones is bad as well. The top people would be uncatchable, fighting and gaining more power with every fight than other players even have, while the new people would be playing with meager gains forever?
Sure, it makes sense RP-wise, but would it be fun? It would kinda be making the game into a tiered system of universes, with each outburst of joinees as their own group, since the older chars wouldn't care and they in turn wouldn't wanna waste their time with newer people, since they already have a near-insurmountable task of becoming decently strong compared to the longest players. Obviously the oldest players should be strongest, otherwise why bother, but the gap would eventually get enormous. Maybe I'm not seeing something here, but that's what I think.
