Never accustomed to teleporting, Bardock strangely found himself on the face of his homeworld, planet Vegeta. His dark eyes gazed up. The halo around his head had vanished. King Kai had made all the necessary arrangements: Bardock was in. The saiyan allowed himself a smirk as he walked into the sign ups building. It was d?j? vu all over again. This time he had no patience. He roughly shouldered past every single contestant wannabe in the line amidst a chorus of angry protests.
?Welcome to sign-ups. We?re going to have to go through a short registration process in order to submit your application. Only forty-four contestants will be admitted to compete. They will be transported to an island on the planet Dante. That is all we may disclose at this time,? the staff informed.

The attendant glanced up. A few seconds of registry, and?
?Hmm?your face looks kind of familiar?but I can?t really place it?? he mused. The attendant leaned forward with a look of concentration. ?Were you one of our summer interns??
Bardock reached out and grabbed the attendant?s tie, yanking him forward. A pair of DA security goons in dark shades thundered forward, making their presence known.
?I?m going to have to ask you to restrain yourself, sir,? the attendant choked. The saiyan released him.
?Here, let me help you,? the brawler sneered as he shoved the official right through his seat, busting the chair in two. The scrawny worker popped up like a daisy and his fingers immediately flew to the keyboard perched before his computer.
?Let me just check our records?? the official replied hastily, kneeling over his broken furniture. A registry of last year?s contestants scrolled down the screen. He slammed the enter button when the icon passed over the saiya-jin?s face. ?Number fourteen, saiyan, Bardock. Eliminated, thirteenth place. Powerlevel approximately two million. Weapon, teddy bear. Kills: number thirty-two Android 16, number four Hasky, number twenty-eight Selipa, number fifteen Android 18. Death: number eighteen Raditzu, winner.?
Bardock smiled sourly. ?That?s me.?
?Fourteenth place, huh? That sucks. Not even top ten. Your pre-show popularity was 85, too,? the official remarked.
Bardock raised an arm as if to strike. The attendant immediately flinched, shielding himself. ?Don?thitme!?
A moment passed. The attendant ventured out of the protection of his arms. He gestured with a finger to the teleporter. ?Just, uh, just go on through, hehheh. I?ll, uh, I?ll take care of everything.?
Bardock did just that. He stood firmly onto the teleporter, determination filling his face.
He was a survivor once.
He would be again.
