This thread is addressed to every single member on CDBZ Roleplaying Game, not just one or two past or current members
Okay, I like to rant about 'Chubbs going soft' and everything, but this time I need to get real, with no jokes. You all get your chance to get cheap shots in one us staff members, and how we're lazy, or we're unfair, or we're bias, or something else completely irrelevant. And I'll agree with you on a lot of points: we're not angels up here.
But here's where you all think wrong. Somewhere along the timeline, Chubbsians began to believe that they had some rights that they got when they joined. The right to critisize staff members over and over again. The right to be an asshole as long as it's within the rules.
And that's where the problems lies. You don't have those rights. Chubbs is not a democracy. We give rules and you follow them and get back in line.
Now no, this does NOT mean you should sit there and never ask questions or give criticism. But here's what you do: Ask your question. Get an answer. That's it. End of story. You shouldn't argue for the answer you want because it's not coming. This is how it works here, so stop wasting our time
We reserve the right to do anything. If you decide to disrespect us, face the consequences. We don't get paid to do this. If you don't like we run this stuff, you can leave. But as long as you are here, under your own free will, you're agreeing to listen to what you say and let that be the end.
For the last year I've changed my attitude. I've dummed down my sarcasm and agreed to let members walk all over me, all the while keeping a fake smile on my face. But we're done. I no longer think it's the staff that has been giving the wrong attitude, but the members.
It's starting to become more like work and less like a fun hobby when we have to deal with people who take our attitudes for granted.
We like doing this work for you. Honestly, we do. Please cooperate with us and we can all continue to enjoy it.
