"So... when can I start killing people?" Raditzu had asked himself, still comfortably settled on his bunk in the Barracks.
A loud-speaker suddenly flared to life, alerting all the warriors to facet of the event. Rad didn't care; he heard Karl Jak's voice and immediately tuned it out. Though it may not be particularly PC, the long-hiared saiyan wanted nothing to do with whatever came out of that fag's mouth. Though paying a little bit of attention might have helped prepare him for the entire room suddenly disappearing.
-----------------------
How does the saying go? Its not the fall that kills you, its the sudden stop at the end? Raditzu truly wished that were the case for him. Whatever method by which the contestants had been teleported had dropped Raditzu quite unceremoniously on the decline of a rather steep hill. Moreover, he had still been in a sitting position when he landed, which only assisted gravity in propelling him towards more level ground.
Though the embarrassment of such a display would have been sufficient punishement for the long-haired wonder, the variety of rocks and vegetation did a good job of adding insult to the proverbial injury. Twelve seconds into the Dante's Abyss tournament and the only thing going for Raditzu was the soft, spongy ground that broke his fall. Even his bag of supplies had found it appropriate to come flying down the hill and introduce itself to the back of its owner's head.
"Guh... I really hope there aren't cameras around..." the saiyan moaned as he pulled himself to his feet.
The saiyan was prepared to further pontificate about how annoying his current predicament was when a rustling in a bush behind him jarred his warrior instincts to life. With cat-like precision and speed, Raditzu lept to his feet, scooping up a rock as he did. When the bush rustled again the warrior took aim and let fly with the small stone projectile. A sharp crack informed Rad that he had struck true and he was readying himself for a full charge when a small rabbit tumbled from the bush, the rock lodged half-way into its skull.
"Wow. What a fearsome warrior I am..."
Rad grabbed his bag and quickly fled the scene. It had been tempting to take the dead bunny with him, a true testament to his mighty throwing arm, but he didn't want to risk getting bunny brains in his hair -- getting the smell out was no small feat.
As the saiya-jin moved through the increasingly dense foliage, he tapped through various menus on his scouter and brought up a small digital version of the DA map. He had seen a couple warriors use this feature of the DA scouter last year, but had never bothered with it himself. He noted his location and procured the compass from his bag. Fortunately he had already been moving in the direction he wanted to go, so it was with a slight spring in his step that he continued on.
