It had been as Jeice expected, he would kill, and he would watch people be killed. The only thing that surprised him was that it was only the first day and already two people dead, he was sure many more had been killed. His eyes shifted to his remaining crew, the fight had taken its toll on each of them, which worried him being that it was four on one. He quickly turned to look at the path in front of him, trying to prepare himself for another enemy to come out of nowhere.

His opened his hand in front of him and revealed the small seed resting on his palm. The red warrior had never encountered anything like it before so he was unaware of its effects, but he knew if Yamu insisted on giving it to him it would have to have some benefits. He reached his hand around and placed the small seed into his pocket. His hand wandered further around his side to his bag, he quickly reached in and pulled out the mirror shard that he used to stab the Konat. Bloodstained, he was no longer to see the piece of his reflection he was able to prior of the attack.

Now he knew how it felt to stab someone. It was nothing of what he thought it would be. He was able to feel the pain he was causing as he twisted the jagged piece of glass into his opponent. There was a sense of achievement that rested upon his head as he walked, he had done exactly what he said he would do with his weapon, and it worked. His hand pressed against his forehead, slightly touching the bandage, now damp from his blood.

?You think?something like that could happen again?? Paragus asked in low, almost morbid voice.

?Yeah, I know it can. The people that enter this game are the best of the best, so we aren?t on our toes for as long as we are here for?well we won?t make it to the end of the game.? Yamu answered showing no emotion.

It was apparent that their teammates death had a lasting effect on the group, though Jeice only briefly met her he too felt somewhat guilty. Guilty that he wasn?t able to stab that Konat son of a bitch before he was able to kill her, guilty that his other teammates had suffered injuries due to the lack of his capabilities. It clearly wasn?t his fault, but it was how he felt. His hand tightened into a fist, causing the sharp edges of the mirror to poke into his skin.

?Next time?the next person we come across?we aren?t going to give him a chance to kill one of us.? Jeice let out as he was grinding his teeth together.

He knew the only way to survive in this game, let alone win, would be to become ruthless. It was something that happens to everyone when they enter a war. It was the very same reason why he made the decision he made in the last war he was in. Senseless killing, but this time he had a purpose for entering, to see how he paired up against others. These people weren?t innocent bystanders, they were people who willingly signed up to a game to kill or be killed.

?I think that encounter showed us how tough these opponents can be, which will only prepare us for the next one.? Yamu stated as the three continued walking.
