Day One: Afternoon

Serenity was a slippery mistress and an even tougher judge. He still felt calm, but confidence was slipping away like sand through a sieve. One opponent at nearly wiped out his entire party, a group now hampered with injuries. They were moving a little slower now, and not just because the terrain was still wet and sucked in their feet with every step. Their morale was down, they had felt invincible and now one of their number was dead.

Yet, Yamu still felt good. Serenity might have taken a valuable asset from his game and someone who was quickly becoming a friend, but It gave him something in return; Retribution. It had been so long since Namek where the treacherous Konet and Metal Koola had nearly killed all of the fighters who volunteered to save Guru from the blue Nameks that rage had almost become common place within him.

The ebony eyed Earthling had found Metal Koola on Earth, and sent him strait to Hell, in the exact same manner that he had just dispatched Minosha with. Yamu could not help but had a flair to the kill, the poetry of dispatching both his rivals in the same manner. The Konat he had never crossed paths with again?until now and a sense of closure overcame the Arlian Guardian, a chapter closed. So much of his heart had been occupied with making sure those who had double crossed him were given their punishment and a fake death was just as painful as a real death, only now he got to wake up and realize who did it to him.

Minosha the Betrayer was out of the game and out of Yamu?s thoughts. Both for good.

?Oh, so I?m the Betrayer?? The short orange hair fighter was floating directly in front of Yamu on the game trail they were following. ?Bulma depended on you?and you let her die.? Yamu sneered and continue to walk, knowing full well his imagination was playing tricks on him. The figment continued to drift next to him down the path mocking him. ?I never told you I was your ally?I never gave you a reason to trust me. But you? You told her you were her friend, you were supposed to protect her, and you failed. Yet?I?m the Betrayer? Take your dramatic fancies and apply them to yourself for once!?

?Shut UP!? Yamu shouted, spittle flying from his lips, as he faced the side of the trail. He swung Kari through the empty air, only hitting a thick limb off a low hanging tree.

Jeice and Paragus both starred, Jeice moved forward first placing a white gloved hand on Yamu?s vein pulsing shoulder. ?Yamu?are you ok??

Yamu sighed, ?Yeah?I am. Bulma dying just shook me a little, that?s all, but we CAN?T just quit can we. I feel like the very air is heavy with tension right now.?

Paragus walked up, his new machine gun balanced on his thigh, ?I think we all took it pretty hard. If someone would just tell a joke or something! I feel like I?m at a funeral.?

No one cared to mention that Bulma?s cremation was almost just that. Instead Yamu flashed a smile. ?I think you are right. What do a gynecologist and a puppy dog have in common?? The other two shrugged, confused. ?They both have wet noses!?

Jeice and Paragus groaned as they continued walking. ?Aw man?that?s terrible. Just?bad.? But they could not suppress the small smile both of them had.

Yamu continued talking as they walked down the trail. Serenity may be a fickle mistress, but he would hold on as long as he can. He refused to be brought down. ?What do a gynecologist and a pizza delivery man have in common??

?Another one?? Jeice asked pushing a limb out of the way as he walked.

?At least guess!? Their voices faded as they proceeded down the path.
