Day One: Afternoon

[Retane]

"Ugh? Huh?"

Retane stirred. His eyes slowly opened to see Lone staring dead in his eyes in a shrouded figure. The wolf had found nothing, but then again, the dweomer only had a limited distance on how far he could go from the namekian. The mercenary stared into the deep solemn eyes of the ki created canine and looked about the area. Something was wrong.

Tapion was not around!

The mercenary and Tapion had both paused for rest. Retane's body had grown terribly weak and Tapion needed rest. Obviously the big eared alien had come to before the namek and took off for some reason. The wolf turned his head to the east and growled. He didn't need to because Retane understood already the direction his comrade had went.

Retane stood up, his prone body erupting in pain as he did. A mere wince is all the hunter with give to show any indication of what he felt. His clothes anew, and his body refreshed, he took off in a sprint.

A low growl issued from his lips and was returned by his four legged companion, who ran beside him. The sun lurched at the dark globes that were the rogues eyes, and quickly he reached for the mask that rested at his belt. Whipping it upon his head, he kept on going, his sight become a tinted green, yet it was clear. Oh how he hated light!

The mercenary pondered what could have happened to him, Tapion. He had an uneasy feeling in his stomach and needed to have answers. Was Tapion ok? Had he been hurt worst? Perhaps he had betrayed him? Retane could not possibly beleive that. Mayhaps, though, that the murders natural instinct had made his friend uncomfortable. What if he was dead?

The heartless assassin's boggled mind went blank. Only two words regeistered in his head then.

Freind. Dead.

Retane had hardly ever thought the word freind existed until that point and time. There was one other, an arachnid named Lecath that would fit in Tapion's category. The memories of the eight-legged creature flooded his head and pained him. The mercenary quicked his paste, he wanted to be assured of the Konat's situation, to know he was alright, just as the elvish one had done with him after the explosion involving Pikkon.

A burst of savage fury erupted through the heart and soul of the namekain. His pace had turned into a full blown run and his mind was purely set upon finding Tap. Everything else was lost to him. The fact that he was in a game, the fact that he had enemies out there, hunting him, the fact that he needed to survive.

He wanted to ensure Tapion was safe!

The rogue came to an abrupt stop as he got his wish. A tealish, green man lay nearby, while Tapion sat, eating a peice of bread and an apple, over a fire roasted a small carcass of sorts, perhaps a rodent of sorts.

"Took you long enough", smirked the tan warrior, smiling as he offered an apple to the namekian. 'Take a seat and enjoy."

Retane could only stand there and look down at his comrade, his ally, his friend.
