?So?how?ve you been?? Bujin was fishing for a conversation topic, and he sort of stumbled upon that question. The pair had been walking through an assortment of surprising scenery ? trees and grass ? and hadn?t talked since they initially met in the duration of the game. Apparently, his awkward opener had sparked a meaningful conversation.
?I shot a woman in the face, like I said,? Celipa stated simply, giggling after finishing the rest of her summary, ?It was pretty gruesome.?
That?s creepy, Rae inserted with a small laugh.
?Quiet,? Bujin whispered angrily to the voice. Celipa glanced at the small man for a few seconds before placing her eyes on the path before them. Bujin continued with a nervous chuckle, ?I know you owned a chick, but outside of the game? We didn?t have time before the game.?
Celipa merely laughed and nodded in agreement. Bujin winced as he remembered what had happened before they got dragged to the Pregame barracks. His memory was scattered, and the hangover was still there, but he clearly remembered fabricating a story that consumed their entire conversation. Normally, he wouldn?t have given his complete lack of respect to a female the time of day, but for some reason, he felt bad. Shrugging, he decided to let it go and wait for an answer.
?I traveled. That?s about it,? She answered nonchalantly, ?How about yourself??
Bujin smirked and remained silently temporarily. What could he tell her? He could tell her that he was stranded in the middle of frickin? Africa. He could tell her that he got hit by a car immediately after she left. The fact that he got captured soon after was an even better story ? all of that was even remotely believable. However, if he told her that he hit his head so hard that he was starting to hear voices, and that he named them and talked to them regularly, would she believe him. Much more importantly, would she judge him? Bujin needed all the help he could get, and spooking his only tangible friend in the game was not a risk he was willing to take.
?I?ve been busy. I?ve had?company.?
