Put your mp3 player/playlist on shuffle/random and post the first five songs, and the story behind how it each got on your playlist/in your life (optional). Obviously skip an artist if they showed up already and go to the next one. Re-rolls are allowed. You can do it multiple times, just keep it one list per post and don't be a post whore. Mine:
Was Blind But Now I See (instrumental) - Jeff Beck
-Searching on Limewire for Nadia by Jeff Beck (today actually), and this was a send off. But I liked it so I kept it.
Black Star - Yngwei Malmsteen
-First learned about Malmsteen in a guitar thread I started on Penny Arcade. Some guy linked to a live performance of this song and I lubbed it.
Cocaine - Strata (thanks to Bra for this one)
-Bra posted the lyrics to this in the Yay Lyrics thread. I searched for the song and liked it.
The Great Gig in The Sky - Pink Floyd
-Bought Dark Side of The Moon one night that I was really mad. I went downtown at like 10 oclock at night and bought this CD. Came home, listened to the whole thing in one sitting. I copied the whole thing on my I-Pod, but this one is one of my favorites from the CD.
Thunderhorse - Dethklok
-Some guy doing game/tv themes on his guitar on Youtube was doing a Storm Eagle (Megaman X) cover. I looked through his stuff and found this. Never saw an episode of Metalocalypse.
Eh... but w/e, it's pretty time consuming so it stays.
