Elimination Exit
#20
?Damn,? Bujin muttered as he awoke from the darkness that had recently engulfed him, ?That was one of the most prolonged deaths that I?ve ever had.?

The memories of Dante?s Abyss were slowly starting to flow back into the blue man?s mind, and they were memories that Bujin would just as soon forget. It was a shame, however, that nothing that had transpired could have ever been easily forgotten. It was true that his freedom was riding solely on his position in the game, but he was never sure that the idea was worth the cost. What was the cost? Freedom was all well and good, but getting hunted down like a dog wasn?t his cup of tea. Tea was nasty, anyway.

The name of the game was to just make the crowd happy. That meant that every contestant was to make sure that if they were to die, they would die in the most dramatic fashion possible. Bujin had heard the stories of past contestants while he was still on the island. Some contestants were blown up, others drank poison and threw up their insides. Others got gutted like a fish, shot at, electrocuted, choked ? all of those were incredible ways to die, and Bujin was sure that every single viewer ate it up.

How did Bujin die?

First, he started to starve. That alone made his demise slightly more lame than any of the deaths mentioned prior. Bujin literally ran out of every single resource that was necessary for survival. So with that came malnutrition and a hell of a dry throat. To add to that somewhat shameful display of survival skills, Bujin just sat in a singular position until some wrinkly Namekian came along and shot him in the face. The small man sighed and hit his head on a wall as he began to lean against it. He had just experienced the most boring death in the history of Dante?s Abyss.

Bujin suddenly realized the stinging emptiness inside his head. Ever since Bujin died on that stupid island, the voices in his increasingly insane mind were dreadfully silent. In fact, the blue man could almost feel their absence. While he was particularly pleased that he finally had found a moment of peace and silence, there remained a nagging feeling in the pit of his stomach. He had to find out what happened to him.

He had to go back to Earth.
