Shift
#6
Let me start by saying that you two make a very odd pair. Leading up to this point, a year in RoSaT would be the farthest thing I could fathom happening between the two, character-wise.

I'd read a little bit about Bra's history with Grimshaw and then her attempt at mastery of the move in his honor when it was fresh off the keyboard, and it's nice to see some struggle with past events, bringing it up by playing off Rad's wierd metal stick thingy. When you write, you always write a significant amount and most of the time cram as much meaning into every word as possible, which gives the reader a lot to process at once. "Shift" is a continuation of that trend, and I see Bra from every different angle in every different light the mind can think of because you make it so.

As always, I enjoy Rad's humor. My impression of RoSaT is that you're supposed to get some kind of lesson or bonding or life-altering experience or something of that nature out of it, and Rad, to me, develops pretty slowly. This isn't a bad thing, seeing as how real people develop slowly, if at all. It's a testament to the realism of Rad's character, but I also don't see much "new" or "different" about him. I have no idea of your plans for him, if you're just gradually building up to something or are kind of rolling with whatever comes your way.

Other than that, I have little to offer. I don't see anything radically different in either of your styles of writing, but the plot is interesting to read, and you work well together. I don't know how much help that is.

I don't want to feel the things that you do
Don't worry, I'll be fine
I just don't want this dream, wake me up inside=_
