You can wall-jump no matter what height you're at.
The most difficult problem in the game is the randomness of the falling squares. It's only a matter of time before they form an impassible wall and trap you underneath them. I only got so high because I started jumping on/off the blocks while they were still falling, since there's plenty of space between them in midair.
