I don't really have an opinion about it one way or the other, and I don't necessarily doubt that it will happen some day, but I don't see it happening any time soon.

I think it would take some kind of huge catalyst for this to ever actually be pulled off. The way 9/11 spurred the "war on terrorism" for example. Otherwise, its attitudes like

That will keep it from ever working.

I'm not trying to come down on Josh, but I think many people would become enraged by such a merger without the public being made very aware of it.
