It's not debated at all, chikushyo is usually just damn, or damn it and that's properly translated in the dvd's. In truth anime characters don't say "Fuck" that often, and when they do it's in english not in japanese they litterally say fyaaku yuu and give the finger it's a fansub myth that started that up.

Though admittedly there are some japanese words that actually mean "fuck", and "fuck you" but you won't see them in anime that often unless it's a more mature series which DBZ isn't.

I have been watching the uncut stuff though and the script is pretty good from what I can see, but really most anime even in the japanese version aren't going to go farther then; 'crap, damn, shit, ass'.

And this is the full uncut goods, they are releasing all the episodes not just the 275 they did before, all of them. Sadly they even show wang, seriously, Toriyama had so much wang in his manga it's not even funny.

Um, I'm not referring to something I heard on the internet from a fansub, I'm referring to what the Miyabi manager that we trained and sent to the Fayetteville, NC location "taught" a few of us. I'm not saying its a literal translation of "fuck" in the exact sense so much as word of intent, showing its "level of profanity" when compared to things like kuso and other phrases.

EDIT: However, you completely glossed over the point of my thread in that nearly every single time (which this has changed recently with dubs) that a dub translates a phrase, they have nearly always settled on the translation that is the most free from profanity. This is something I was REALLY glad didn't happen in Black Lagoon; in fact, it made me enjoy the dub better in that it flowed well (even if not a word for word translation like anime purists want where "everything is better in japanese and english always screws it up"). The bar scene with the drinking being a prime example to me.
