2) Back when I used to read, I was heavy into satirical dark comedy stuff. Chuck Palahniuk and Kurt Vonnegut mostly. I checked out Slaughterhouse Five from the library, it's just sitting up on my bed though.

Actually I was into a lot of stuff. William Gibson (Neuromancer was so awesome), Milan Kundera (Czech romance novels ftw), Chuck Palahniuk, F. Scott Fitzgerald (one of the few guys I read in school that I returned to later on).

Let's not forget my fav rave, Philip K. Dick. A Scanner Darkly > We Can Build You > Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. The way he could just tear at your emotions during the last couple of chapters, despite the overall mood of the rest of the book, was just astounding.
